Silence means ha-ha-ha

SILENCE means okey. No news means good news.

Two famous lines I want to cite in order to describe my observation of former Pampanga Gov. Mark Lapid, who is now the top executive of the Philippine Tourism Authority, one of juiciest government posts.

After Lapid was appointed by GMA early this year, some influential people in Pampanga led by trader Rene Romero of the Advocacy for the Development of Central Luzon  (ADCL) had openly expressed disgust.

Well, Filipinos do have a problem remembering their past – and their bad decisions when voting for leaders.

Where is Jun Lozado and the ZTE deal? Now, Joc-Joc Bolante and his fertilizers. I better swim with my children or read a good book than listen to the senators investigating Bolante. Cut the crap. Wake up, Juan.

CLARK is on its way to become the next premiere destination in RP – and the center of development. With Ricafort at Clark Development Corp. (CDC) and Luciano at Clark International Airport Corp. CIAC), things will just turn brighter in the former US Military Base and its surrounding areas.

Luciano and Ricafort are truly ‘dugong aso,” also known as Capampangan. They are some of the great GMA appointees.

Pardon me sirs, I didn’t put your first name just to be safe – the worst a man could do is misspell the name of a person. Jose Victor Luciano or Victor Jose Luciano of Magalang? Ricafort is easy to remember. He is Ninoy, este, Benigno, better known as Benny.

THE friends of former Clark Investors and Locators Association (CILA) President Frankie Villanueva are in Cloud 9 nowadays. They have successfully helped Villanueva become one of the new directors of the CDC. Well, Villanueva is the most qualified among  CDC directors speaking about educational background. More importantly, he is reliable —just like my friend at CDC – Sonny Lopez.

BETTER rest your mind and body if you have the time. Visit Boracay Island in Aklan. Bring you family and friends if you can. Enjoy the sun and the beach. The crowd, too. Play golf at the Fairways and Bluewater. The food is fabulous – and not too expensive.

The wet market in the D’ Mall (located in between Boat Stations 2 and 3) has some good cooks. You buy the prawns, shrimps and other stuffs in the market and the cooks will do the cooking for you. You eat them beside the market where they have tables and chairs.

Well, I have to go. I still have a flight to Boracay. To be precise, you the plane lands to Caticlan, dubbed as the gateway to Boracay.
