Shabu lab dismantled in Subic town

SUBIC, Zambales A suspected shabu laboratory was dismantled here Thursday after a raid on a warehouse by joint police operatives and agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency provincial office.

The law enforcers were joined by Mayor John Khonghun in serving Search Warrant No. 2020-13 for violations of RA 9065 issued by Executive Judge Roline Ginez-Jabalde of RTC Branch 74,  Olongapo City.

Zambales provincial police director Col. Ponce Rogelio Peñones said the warehouse contained different types of suspected precursors and essential chemicals in the preparation of shabu, and various laboratory equipment.

He identified the owner of the property as one Mark Rae Lapid, a resident of Sitio Agusuhin, Barangay Cawag.

Subic police chief Capt. Rolando Ballon identified Lapid and one Joven Salvador y Atizado, caretaker and occupant of the property as the suspects in the alleged shabu laboratory.
