BALANGA CITY — The Bataan Police Provincial Office here reported the arrest of four suspects and the confiscation of shabu and two loose firearms in separate operations in Hermosa and Orani towns in Bataan Tuesday.
Bataan police OIC director Col. Marites Salvadora said that operatives of the Hermosa Municipal Police Station in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency conducted a buy-bust operation in Barangay Balsik that resulted in the arrest of three suspects.
Confiscated from the three were one .38 revolver with two live ammunitions and five grams of shabu with standard drug price of P34,000.
In Barangay Tagumpay, Orani another suspect was apprehended in the act of selling a .38 revolver with three rounds of ammunition in exchange for P4,000. The raiding team also recovered two sachets of shabu weighing five grams.
Cases for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), and violation of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) will be filed against the suspects.
