CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Ten-hour power outages have been scheduled in four towns in Tarlac and one in Nueva Ecija on Sept. 24, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) announced yesterday.

The NGCP said the affected towns are under the coverage of the Tarlac II Electric Cooperative (Tarelco 2). Power outage in these areas will last from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 24.

NGCP identified the towns as Bamban, Capas, Concepcion and La Paz in Tarlac, and Zaragoza in Nueva Ecija.

It said the power outage would give way to the “dismantling of unused structures at Concepcion Substation simultaneous with Tarelco II’s Concepcion-La Paz and Concepcion-Capas 69kV line maintenance.”

“Normal operations will immediately resume after work completion. NGCP’s customers and the general public are advised to take the necessary preparations and precautions for this scheduled interruption,” the NGCP advisory said.
