The Securities and Exchange Commission-Tarlac Extension Office (SEC-TAREO)  rolled out its “SEC on Wheels” program in the province of Zambales last October  2 at Columban College, Inc. in Olongapo City. This initiative marked a  partnership between the SEC-TAREO and Columban College, Inc. aiming to

bring SEC services closer to the public and streamline the processes of registration and regulation of businesses and organizations in the said province.

SEC-TAREO personnel led by Securities Counsel Atty. Ma. Theresa L. Reotutar  served various clients, companies, and organizations from various towns across  Zambales including Iba, Palauig, Botolan, Cabagan, Subic and San Felipe. The  SEC-Tarlac offered services on company registration, filing of reports,  amendment and updating of company records and processing of compliance  reports.

The “SEC on Wheels” program is designed to offer SEC services to communities  that may find it difficult to access the Commission’s offices, especially in remote  towns and provinces. Through this outreach, the SEC provided essential services  to various industries, including local businesses and non-profit organizations.

This collaboration between SEC-TAREO and Columban College, Inc. reflects a  shared commitment to enhancing local development and empowering  communities by simplifying the administrative processes required for business

operations. It also demonstrated the SEC’s proactive stance in ensuring that  services are accessible even in local communities, fostering a business-friendly  environment and encouraging compliance with national regulatory standards.

Various companies, organizations and representatives from different towns of Zambales also expressed their appreciation for the convenience and efficiency  offered by the mobile services.

“This initiative is part of the SEC’s broader efforts to decentralize its services,  ensuring that individuals and organizations can conveniently meet regulatory  requirements, promote transparency, and contribute to the country’s economic  growth,” Atty. Reotutar said.

“Through continued partnerships and outreach programs, SEC aims to extend its  reach and provide more responsive service to the Filipino people,” she added.

Following the success of the first activity of SEC on Wheels, another schedule has  been set this November as Columban College, Inc., an active SEC campaign  network partner, continues to open its doors to SEC clients, further expanding  the program’s reach and accessibility in the province of Zambales.
