SAN FELIPE, Zambales — Mayor Leo John Farrales said Tuesday that a 45-year–old seafarer is the 2ndconfirmed Covid-19 case in this town and was listed as the 7th in the entire province.
According to Farrales, the patient is a resident of Barangay Baling-caguing and has a travel history in Aruba, Curacao, Barabados, London, and Qatar. Hearrived through the Clark International Airport from abroad and went home directly to their house.
On March 27, he had cough and colds. On April 1, the patient experienced fever and was fetched by ambulance from the President Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital for chest x-ray and swab sample and was found to have mild pneumonia.
On April 7, he was confirmed to be positive of Covid–19 from the result of the swab test.
Farrales said the patient is now in good condition and was advised to complete the mandatory quarantine and proper monitoring.
Provincial health officer Noel Bueno has coordinated with the local government unit, the chief of police, and the barangay captain to help in contact tracingindividuals with whom the patient came into contact.
