SAMAL, Bataan — A public elementary school here announced that it was ready
for the opening of classes on Aug. 22 during a consultation meeting it held for
parents Tuesday.

Alice De Guzman, principal of the Samal South Elementary School (SSES), said
their school in Barangay Sta. Lucia was already prepared for the beginning of
classes a few days from now.

De Guzman said that parents have to decide whether to let their kids go to school
or not because they know better the health condition of their children.

pero excuse sila sa paaralan,” she said.

added.

She repeatedly reminded parents not to let their children attend classes if not
feeling well and show symptoms of the coronavirus disease like cold, fever and
cough. De Guzman said parents and children should continue on following health
protocol like washing of hands, wearing of face masks and practicing social
distancing.

During the orientation at the school covered court, teachers and parents
presented a dance number.

Barangay Sta. Lucia chairman Hector Forbes delivered an inspirational message
asking teachers and parents to continue having good relations for the benefit of
the school children.
