OLONGAPO CITY — Joint operatives of CIDG–Olongapo, CIDG–Zambales and the 301st Maritime Police conducted anti-illegal gambling operations resulting to the arrest of two persons, including a Social Amelioration Aid recipient.
Major Michael John Villanueva, CIDG-Olongapo chief said Minda Luz Romero y Rivera and Maricel Abaya y Gemina, a SAP recipient, were caught gambling in a house within the Bonifacio Compound at No. 46 Gabaya Street, Barangay Baretto.
Two other card playerss, identified as Abby Galang and one alias Rab, both residents of Barangat Barretto, eluded arrest
The raid stemmed from the report of an informant that there was rampant “pusoy” at the place.
Recovered at the raided gambling area were a deck of playing cards, P1,082 bet money, and a table matting.
