Samsung Electronics Philippines Corporation (SEPCO) brings to life its commitment to empowering through technology as it partnered with the Philippine Olympics Committee (POC) as the official mobile partner of the Filipino athletes competing in the Paris 2024 Olympics.

This is in line with Samsung’s “Open always wins’ global campaign, which celebrates the brand’s shared values of openness with the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games. ‘Open always wins’ articulates the brand’s belief that openness enables new perspectives and infinite possibilities and will serve as the heart of its Paris 2024 programming. Samsung also just announced that it will host Galaxy Unpacked in Paris — where the iconic cultural nexus and trend epicenter becomes the perfect backdrop for the rollout of the brand’s latest cutting-edge innovations. The event will be streamed live on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom and Samsung’s YouTube channel at 9:00 PM Philippine Time.

Samsung has been a Worldwide Olympic Partner since 1988. For almost 40 years, athletes and fans have trusted Samsung’s transformative mobile technology to share the Olympic spirit globally. The company’s commitment to the Olympic Movement, which soon faces its fourth decade of partnership, extends through Los Angeles 2028.

Samsung’s purposeful innovations in wireless communications and computing equipment, including artificial intelligence, virtual reality, augmented reality, and 5G, will continue to shape the digital future of the Olympic Games for Paris 2024 and beyond, changing the way the world experiences this global event.

This global commitment was extended to the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), with Samsung Philippines proudly serving as the official mobile partner. The Philippines recently bid farewell to its Olympic-bound athletes in a send-off ceremony at the Ayuntamiento De Manila in Intramuros. The event was graced by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., POC President Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, SEPCO Head of Marketing Yna Quimson, and SEPCO Head of Mobile Experience Blue Avelino.

As the athletes prepare for their journey to the Paris Olympics 2024, each of them is now equipped with a Galaxy Z Flip5, part of the brand’s commitment to keeping them connected with fans and loved ones throughout their Olympic adventure. This support ensures the athletes can share their experiences and stay in touch with their supporters, amplifying their voices and stories on a global stage.

Samsung’s alliance with the Philippine Olympic Committee not only emphasizes technological advancements but also spotlights the athletes’ commitment and accomplishments, enhancing their visibility and aspirations internationally.
