BALANGA CITY — The 4th class municipality of Samal topped all other towns in the province of Bataan in revenue collection target for year 2020, recording 119 percent collection efficiency.
Samal Mayor Aida Macalinao lauded municipal treasurer Emilia “Emy” Dela Rosa and the whole municipal treasurer’s office (MTO) for the achievement
“Maraming salamat Treas. Emy at sa buong tanggapan ng MTO sa pagpupursigi na mapanatiling may pondo ang pamahalaan at may mataas na antas ng paglilingkod. Kayo ang dahilan kung bakit tayo patuloy na nakakapagbigay ng maayos na serbisyo publiko, may mga proyekto at aktibidad para sa ating mga kababayan,” the mayor said.
Second placer was the industrial town of Limay under treasurer Rosalinda Atienza with 113 percent and Pilar with treasurer Fe Sagre in third place garnering 105 percent collection efficiency.
The provincial government led by Gov Albert Garcia and provincial treasurer Alice Magpantay awarded not only the three but the rest of the 10 municipal treasurer’s offices with certificates of recognition and incentives.
“Binigyan din po natin ng insentibo ang iba pang mga bayan bilang pagkilala at pasasalamat sa kanilang dedikasyon sa pagseserbisyo,” the governor said.
In the awarding ceremony Tuesday, the Real Property Tax Collection System for a systematic and efficient RPT collection was discussed.
