ANGELES CITY – The evening of Nov. 15 turned magical with JDN Realty Group unveiling Sala Ning Pasku, a celebration that brilliantly showcased the rich artistry and talent of the Kapampangan. The event marked the start of the Holiday season in the whole Nepo Center with the illumination of the yearly Christmas display at the façade of Angeles Electric Corp. building.

A dazzling display of hexagonal parols, symbolizing JDN Realty Group’s 60-year legacy as a cornerstone of local culture. Renowned sculptor and painter Nick T. Reyes conceptualized these lanterns, which Pampanga’s parol king, Roland S. Quiambao, brought to life.

Andy Alviz, the multi-awarded Kapampangan director, writer, composer, and founder of the musical group Arti Sta. Rita, led his group in taking the joyous celebration up a notch with the debut of an exclusive Christmas song Kasaya Ning Pasko Ne Po. This heartfelt tribute to the Kapampangan community filled the air with joyful melodies, enriching the evening with a sense of unity and celebration.

Prominent figures gracing the event included Angeles City Vice Mayor Vicky Vega, Department of Tourism Regiona-3 director Dr. Richard Daenos, and city councilor Niknok Bañola. JDN Realty board representatives Geronimo and Marsha Nepomuceno, former retail president Lisa Mapua, and realty COO Aaron Montenegro along with Angeles Electric Corp. president Marijo Chua joined in the celebration.

“On behalf of JDN Realty Group, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the official launch of Sala Ning Pasku. Tonight, as we unite to illuminate the season, we also commemorate the essence of Christmas – family, community, kabutihang-loob, and pagkakaisa. Sala Ning Pasku is a way to showcase and honor our rich culture and talent among the Kapampangan people, which makes our community truly unique,” enthused Montenegro.

“At JDN, everything we do is for our tenant partners. Through events like Sala Ning Pasku, we aim to add value by creating spaces that encourage more foot traffic, drive shopping, and elevate the dining experience here in our community. We understand that these experiences and events directly contribute to the success of our tenant partners. Our goal is to ensure that Nepo Center remains a vibrant hub where every tenant has the opportunity to grow, expand, and connect with the community,” he added.

Vega highlighted the deeper meaning of the Christmas celebration. “The reason for our joy and the reason for Christmas is Jesus, our Lord Jesus Christ. So, we continue to celebrate with our families and the community.”

For his part, Daenos underscored the cultural and emotional significance of the lights, making them a powerful symbol of community spirit and unity. “These lights symbolize more than just a celebration. They stand for kindness, generosity, and the bonds that bring us together as one family and community. This perfectly defines the Kapampangan.”

The evening’s celebration highlighted JDN Realty’s commitment to preserving and promoting Kapampangan heritage. Sala Ning Pasku not only embodied the holiday spirit but also served as a beacon of local pride, illuminating the path toward a brighter, more connected future for Angeles City.
