CLARK FREEPORT – Safe, sulit, and saya. The way to sail via 2GO, the Philippines’
largest premier sea travel provider.

“You get to have relaxing ‘sailcation’ the minute you go onboard 2GO’s vessels
headed for your desired diving destinations. Plus, you get to have a cruise-like
experience with spacious and clean accommodations, hot and fresh meals and
bigger variety of food and drinks onboard,” enthused Blessie Cruz, 2GO Group
head and assistant vice-president for marketing, in a product presentation at the
SMX Convention Center-Clark Friday.

“Sailcation” is portmanteau for sailing and vacation, translating to leisurely sea
travel, made even most affordable with 2GO’s Sama-Sama Sea Sale from July 14-
20 where travelers can avail themselves of tickets to Cebu, Puerto Princesa,
Coron, Dumaguete, Tagbilaran and other destinations for bunk fares as low as
P99.

Aside from the affordable fares, travelers get a generous 50-kilogram baggage
allowance as scuba diving gear usually weigh between 20 to 24 kilograms and also
offer an option as well for passengers to travel with their personal vehicle
because of the spacious cargo bay of the ships that is “much larger than the
passengers’ area,” Cruz stressed.

The resurgence of leisurely travel to the islands of the south– as only a sea voyage
can offer – made affordable by 2GO has become more accessible to people from
Central and North Luzon with the ease of travel time to Manila with the improved
expressway network.

From Manila, 2GO sails to Cebu four times weekly via MV 2GO Maligaya and MV
St. Therese of the Child Jesus, and vice versa.

Once a week, the MV St. Francis Xavier makes a roundtrip to Puerto Princesa from
where passengers can take a liveaboard to marvel at the 33,000-hectare
Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The same vessel sails from Manila to and from Coron, and from Puerto Princesa to
Coron once weekly.

Tagbilaran, Bohol is port of call too of MV St. Francis Xavier once a week.
The MV St. Michael the Archangel sails from Manila to and from Dumaguete once
weekly.

Cruz said travelers can – as indeed a number has done – make their own inter-
island itinerary with the routes 2GO serves, “at their own leisurely pace.”

Aside from travel conveyances, 2GO vessels are open for corporate affairs such as
team buildings, conferences, and product launches, as well as intimate special
celebrations and personal events – “even marriage proposals, why not?” – for
that unique experience, of moments that make most lasting memories.
