AC Sacred Heart Medical Center, located in Angeles City, has inaugurated its third linear accelerator to celebrate its Cancer Institute’s 12 th year of service. In honor of the legacy of Mr. Tan Song Bok, the family-owned medical institution is looking to expand its services to Filipinos hailing from Pampanga, Tarlac, Bataan, Zambales and other provinces in Central Luzon.
It will be a promising development as AC Sacred Heart Medical Center, the pioneer cancer treatment facility of Metro Manila, will continue to serve its patients with the most advanced cancer therapy available on the market. According to their Chief Administrative Officer, Dr. Maria Josefina T. Tan, the installation of the third machine will enable them to better serve 80 to 100 patients a day. “Compared to our other machines, the new Varian Vital Beam provides image-guided therapy (IGRT), which offers more precision in the treatment of the tumor” she added.
“The installation of this machine provides more value in our oncologic services and we could now serve more patients. We would also make sure that the cost of the VitalBeam treatment would be affordable to our patients and that the advanced technology this machine brings would be of great help in their cancer treatment journey.” –Dr. Tan.
On the other hand, SHMC being part of the JENRA GROUP participated in the celebration of its 50 th Anniversary, by giving back to the most vulnerable member of the community through gift-giving efforts to SHMC 100 Cancer Patient Beneficiaries in celebration of the Cancer Institute 12 th Year Anniversary.
