Runaway lovers from Tarlac nabbed in NE

GAPAN CITY – Two alleged runaway lovers who settled in Barangay San Nicolas here allegedly to  evade their respective spouses were caught in a police response operation at about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Ramoncito Coronel, 47, an engineer from Victoria, Tarlac and Analiza, 42, a businesswoman from Bugallon town in Pangasinan, are now jailed at the city police’s facility facing charges of concubinage and adultery, respectively, police said.

Acting city police chief Lt. Col. Alexie Desamiyo said the arrest of the lovers was  made upon the complaint filed by the woman’s husband, Kenneth Tiamzon, 43, of Barangay San Sebastian, Tarlac City.

“The victim sought the assistance of Gapan police station assigned at Patrulya ng Bayan Cluster 1 and the barangay tanods regarding his complaints,” Desamito said.

Tiamzon told authorities that he traced the whereabouts of his wife and her alleged lover  through an information from a friend who said that “they were living like a husband and wife” in a rented apartment Barangay San Nicolas this city. 

Per police investigation, the duo allegedly introduced themselves to the landlord as husband and wife, Desamito said.

She said the suspects were subjected to an inquest proceeding for concubinage and adultery at the Gapan City Prosecutor’s Office.
