Floridablanca, Pampanga — The Aeta residents of Sitio Camachile in Nabuclod, Floridablanca received important health and sanitation support on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, as two Rotary Clubs teamed up to distribute hygiene kits and review progress on their ongoing water project.
The Rotary Club of Dolores (Philippines) and the Rotary Club of Saesongtan (Korea) handed out 300 hygiene kits containing toothpaste, sanitary pads, alcohol, and soap. The activity was led by Rotary Club of Dolores President Albert Lacanlale and Past President Kim Ku Dong of Saesongtan.

Also present during the visit were Immediate Past President Maureen Gueco, Past District Governor Emil Joven, and Past Presidents Jong Galang, Gon Kehyeng, Alex Liwanag, Dennis Sanchez, and Lilli Michelle Canlas.
P5-M Water Project Continues
The hygiene kit distribution supports the larger P5-million water and sanitation project funded through a Rotary Global Grant. The project aims to give Sitio Camachile long-term access to clean water.

Its components include:
• A submersible pump for water extraction
• Overhead water tanks
• New comfort rooms for the community and the school
• Handwashing stations
Once completed, the project will help improve daily living conditions for the Aeta community.
LGU Signs Agreement for Maintenance
To ensure the project lasts, the two Rotary Clubs signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Local Government Unit of Floridablanca. Mayor Michael Galang represented the LGU during the signing.

Under the MOA, the LGU will take charge of maintaining and operating the water system, securing its long-term benefit for Sitio Camachile residents.
The Rotary Clubs said they remain committed to supporting the Aeta community and working with local leaders to improve access to clean water and basic hygiene.
