Rhea Tan, the owner of the well-known beauty and wellness brand Beautéderm, was formally inducted as the president of the Rotary Club of Balibago last July 18 at the Hilton Clark Sun Valley Resort in Pampanga.
With District Governor Danilo Philip Torres as the guest of honor and Tan delivering her speech, the 16th Induction and Turnover Ceremonies, which were attended by top Rotary Club officials, executives, and industry leaders leaders, left a mark.
Taking on the presidency with pride, Tan shared, “Allow me to officially accept my responsibility as president of the Rotary Club of Balibago in front of everyone who has inspired, influenced, and affected me. Please know that I am appreciative for this. While we are proud of our position, we must use our privilege, voice, and success to benefit others.”
In her speech, Tan also emphasized three key projects: “Rise Up, Glow Up,” which aims to teach students and universities about self-care; “Yes to Love,” which tries to aid polio sufferers; and “Contribeaut,” which provides scholarships to students.
She said, “These three projects advocate for others rather than ourselves, as does this club, which has prioritized others over itself. It’s not about what we say, but how we make them feel. The attention is on the community, and their stories have moved, shaped, and touched our core.”
“In our quest to be the best organization, we must never lose sight of what truly matters: uplifting others, seeing them for who they are, connecting with them, giving them a voice, and motivating the next generation of advocates to unite for good,” she added.
In addition to the formal induction and turnover ceremonies, Beautéderm ambassadors, led by top male endorser Piolo Pascual, who has been a strong supporter of Tan, graced the event.
Pascual congratulated the president of the Rotary Club of Balibago and stunned the VIP visitors with his song numbers.
Alma Concepcion, Ejay Falcon, Gillian Vicencio, Darla Sauler, Rochelle Barrameda, Kitkat, Pepita Smith, Kakai Bautista, Josh Ford, Ervic Vijandre, DJ JhaiHo, Maricel Morales, and Kimson Tan were among the other Beautéderm ambassadors that were present at the event.
