Nakausap namin si Richard Gutierrez last Tuesday night sa launching ng December issue ng S Magazine kung saan ay featured ang Gutierrez family.
Hiningan namin ng reaksyon ang young actor tungkol sa bagong desisyon ng Department of Justice (DoJ) tungkol sa kaso niya sa entertainment website na Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) na nagsasaad na puwede nang isampa ang kasong libelo sa korte laban sa nasabing website.
“Siyempre, nagulat ako. I didn’t expect na magkakaroon pa ng ganu’ng klase ng desisyon because medyo matagal na ’yon, at the same time, I was happy dahil nabigyan ng pansin ng DoJ ang kaso and they were able to reverse it. So, there’s still justice,” sabi niya.
Sa ngayon ay naghihintay na lang daw siya ng update mula sa kanyang lawyer para sa pagsasampa ng kaso.
Natanong namin si Chard kung wala bang tsansa na maayos ang gusot nila ng PEP alang-alang man lang sa spirit of Christmas.
“Parang ang dali, eh. Right now kasi, wala pa akong naririnig from the other side, eh. I mean, they were never apologetic and they never approached us, you know.
“Before that happened, we treated them as colleagues, as friends, we invited them to our house, we served food to them, and ngayon, wala kaming natatanggap na any message from them.
“So, right now, we’re just gonna take the righteous path and let the court decide na lang,” say ni Chard.
Kahit maraming hindi magagandang pangyayari sa buhay ni Chard ngayong 2009, aniya ay marami rin namang magagandang nangyari.
“A lot of good things happened to me in 2009 but there are also some challenges. It was a balanced year for me, a lot of good projects. I was able to produce my first movie (Patient X), I was able to release my own cologne for Bench and endorsed big products, but there are also challenges, so it’s a matter of which angle you’re gonna look at.
“But hopefully, for 2010, things would be brighter, easier, hopefully, mas smooth-sailing ang year ko for 2010,” anang young actor.
Anyway, makikita rin sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon sa nasabing December issue ng S Magazine ang P100-million mansion ng Gutierrez family pati na ang unique bachelor’s pad ni Chard katabi ng swimming pool.
