IBA, Zambales — Elements of the provincial police arrested a regional level high value individual in Castillejos town on Friday.
Zambales police director Col. Romano Velayo Cardiño identified the suspect as Mario Fernando, Jr., alias Fernando Vicente, 34, of Purok 5, Barangay San Nicolas, Castillejos.
Police report said that joint operatives of Castillejos police, the provincial drug enforcement and intelligence units, and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company conducted a buy-bust operation in the aforementioned barangay and arrested the suspect in the act of selling shabu.
Seized from Fernando were 27 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 4.78 grams with estimated value of P170,000.
The suspect is now locked up in jail at Castillejos MPS facing charges for violation of RA 9165.
“The Zambales police remains relentless and vigorous in implementing its intensified campaign against all forms of criminality to assure the safety of our community,” said Cardiño.
