The Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council – III (RDRRMC-3) has issued a downgrade on the alert status effective January 19, in relation to the effects of the Taal volcano eruption to all chairpersons and concerned RDRRMC-3 member agencies.
In the memorandum issued by RDRRMC-3 chairperson and OCD-3 acting regional director Maria Theresa Escolano, the alert status has been downgraded from blue to white while taking into consideration that there are no significant updates from the concerned RDRRMC-3 member agencies and Local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Councils (LDRRMCs).
As per the memorandum, further request to continuously monitor respective areas of responsibility to ensure safety of the constituents for any eventuality and as all concerned agencies are requested to submit terminal reports to the Office of Civil Defense Region III (OCD-3) on or before January 24.
