BALANGA CITY– The Regional Disaster Coordinating Council held on Thursday at the oval grounds in this city the 6th Regional First Aid and Basic Life Support Olympics to instill camaraderie and the sharing of knowledge and know-how among members of municipal and provincial disaster coordinating councils in Central Luzon.
Chief Supt. Leon Nilo Dela Cruz, Region 3 police director, said that the council should always be ready and alert to respond to any emergencies with the high levels of preparedness and know-how maintained.
"In terms of equipment, it is improving every year and we expect more heavy equipment from abroad coming," the police general who is also RDCC chair said.
Held were competitions on basic life support cardio-pulmonary resuscitation for adults, children and infants, bandaging and transfer relay, situational analysis focus on immobilization and situational analysis focus on control bleeding and bandaging.
