ISA PALA si Raymond Gutierrez sa nag-isip ng konsepto na magkaroon ang kanilang pamilya ng isang reality show at siya rin ang kumumbinsi sa kanyang mga kapatid lalo na nga kay Richard na alam niyang very private.
“I was the one who approached Mike (Carandang, isa sa producers at siya ring direktor ng show) because Mike is a friend, so we had a meeting which is very casual. Sabi ko, ‘what if we do a reality show?’ And I think, now is the time,” kuwento ni Raymond.
Una nga raw niyang kinumbinsi si Richard since ito nga raw ang pinaka-private sa kanila. “So, nung na-convince ko na si Chard, it was easier for us to convince the rest of the family to do this. And after one meeting with Mike, we knew right away that we wanted to team up with him because ’yun nga, mayroon na siyang experience with reality shows and he’s worked with the best in the US and I want people in the Philippines to see that kind of talent.”
Paano niya nakumbinsi si Richard? “Sabi ko, I think it’s about time, it’s the first time we can actually do this, kasi for the past 10 years, iba-iba kami ng network, ’di ba? “So, it’s the first time this year na pwede kaming magtrabaho as a family and I think, this is the perfect project. And I think, this is an experiment, we wanna see the outcome, kami rin hindi rin namin alam kung ano ang kalalabasan.
“So we’re excited, but at the same time, nervous, anxious, all these feelings and I think at the end of the day, it’s just the family experience that we wanna go through,” say ni Raymond.
Aminado naman si Richard na talagang siya ang pinaka-skeptical sa kanila about this concept. “Pero ’yun nga, matagal nang napaguusapan sa bahay ’yan, eh. Na ‘oy, what if gumawa tayo ng reality show na parang Kardashians, ’yung ganyan.’
And noong una para sa akin, parang imposible naman yata ’yun kasi nga, we’re all working nga for different networks, pero ngayon, napagisip-isip ko na bakit nga naman hindi. Wala namang itinatago ’yung family namin.
We’re just a regular family. “Maraming misconceptions about our family. So, ipakita natin kung sino tayo, what we’re made of and I think, maienjoy ng mga Filipino kung ano ang mapapanood nila,” sabi ni Chard.
