But that didn’t hinder him from becoming a true OPM artist. He made a small niche in the music industry at nag-iwan ng kaunting ala-ala na ngayon ay puhunan niya sa kanyang pagbabalik sa eksena.
Yes, he has been on the scene for almost three decades now at sa kanyang comebak journey welcome naman siya sa ating mga kababayan.
According to him, he will be staying for good, being away for many years. Yes, Rafael and his family are based in Malaysia and made a living there doing some businesses.
And now he’s back, he has in him a true Pinoy album which was put up with the help of Vehnee Saturno. Centenera believes in the capability of the man and now his album is out. It contains the songs written by Saturno like Missing You, Panibigho and Ikaw Ang Dahilan.
Rafael, he vowed not ti leave the scene again. “This is my life, I shall continue singing all the way, di ko na ito iiwanan,” pangako pa niya. Now, Rafael is all over.
Small gigs through the invitation of some well-meaning friends, lahat pinauunlakan niya, believing that this could be the start of a flouishing music career. “Singing is my passion , with or without the album, I shall sing, sing and sing.” So there!
