MARIVELES, Bataan — A suspected drug pusher was slain after he allegedly attempted to shoot at his buyer during a buy-bust operation in this town Tuesday evening.

Relatives identified the victim as Joman Taghoy, 34, a laborer from Sitio Breakwater in Barangay Sisiman.

“Dati siyang gumagamit pero nagbago na siya,” a cousin said.

Taghoy’s remains lay in state in a cheap coffin in an unfinished house in Sitio Breakwater.

Supt. Crizalde Conde, Mariveles police chief, said the victim was handing to a police-poseur- buyer a small sachet of shabu in exchange for P500 when he noticed that police operatives were in the area.

The suspect pulled his firearm and about to shoot at his buyer but back-up lawmen shot and killed him, Conde said.

Scene of the Crime Operatives recovered from the suspect a .38 revolver with six live ammunitions and four sachets of shabu, the police chief said in a report to Senior Supt. Benjamin Silo, Jr., Bataan police director.

Taghoy became the 22nd fatality in drug buybust operations conducted by the Bataan police since July 1, 2016.
