ZARAGOZA, Nueva Ecija – A suspected drug pusher from the city of Cabanatuan was killed in an anti-drug sting that turned bloody in Barangay Carmen here at about 12:15 a.m. Friday.
Town police chief Major Jaime Ferrer identified the suspect as Dicson Billiones, resident of Bonifacio District, Cabanatuan City.
Ferrer said an undercover policeman managed to buy a sachet of suspected shabu from Billiones, prompting the operatives to announce his arrest.
“Suddenly, the suspect drew his firearm and fired at them, prompting the police to defend themselves and return fire,” he said.
Forensic investigators recovered from the suspect 13 more sachets of shabu and a handgun, police said.
An alleged cohort of the suspect, however, eluded arrest by speeding away on board a motorcycle towards Aliaga town, police said. He is now the subject of a manhunt operation, it added.
