SUBIC BAY FREEPORT — A suspected drug pusher was arrested in a buy-bust operation at the central business district of this Freeport on Sunday.
Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority Intelligence and Investigation Office chief Rodel del Rosario identified the suspect as Robert Balajadia y Pascual, 53, of Barangay New Kalalake, Olongapo City.
The drug sting was conducted by the Philippines Drug Enforcement Agency-Zambales, the Olongapo City Police Office Station 3 drug enforcement unit led by Major Edmer Gloria, and the SBMA–IIO.
Balajadia was arrested at a vacant lot near a restaurant at the corner of Dewey Avenue and Aguinaldo St. in the freeport.
Confiscated from the suspect were three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of shabu weighing about 15 grams and estimated with a street value of P97,500,
and the P1,000 marked bill used in the buy-bust.
Authorities also impounded a gray Toyota Hi-Ace GL van with plate number PYO 813, which the suspect used in his illegal trade.
The suspect is now facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
