ALIAGA, Nueva Ecija – A suspected drug pusher from Cabanatuan City was killed in a shootout with anti-narcotic operatives in Barangay La Purisima here at around 10:20 p.m., Monday police said.
Police Major Marlon Cudal, acting police chief, identified the suspect as Joseph dela Cruz of Barangay Sapang, Cabanatuan City.
Cudal said dela Cruz allegedly fired a snubnosed .38 revolver at an undercover policeman who posed as a buyer “buy missed.” Retaliating lawmen fatally hit him.
Forensic investigators recovered the suspect’s supposed firearm, the P500 buy bust money and ten sachets of suspected shabu, police said.
