SAN ANTONIO, Zambales – A drug pusher was arrested in drug operations in Barangay Santiago here.
Senior Inspector Johnathan Bardaje, head of San Antonio Municipal Police Station, identified the suspect as Xernan Callo y Lamayo, 34, of Purok 7, Barangay Santiago, San Antonio.
Initial investigation disclosed that a police poseur-buyer and a confidential informant were in the process of transacting a deal with the suspect but as the buyer was handing the marked money, the suspect suddenly ran, sensing it was a policeman he was dealing with.
A chase ensued and the suspect was apprehended. Recovered from him were two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of shabu and the marked money.
The suspect is now detained at San Antonio Police Municipal jail facing charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165 before the Provincial Prosecutors Office in Iba, Zambales.
