In strong support of young truth tellers and storytellers, Punto Central Luzon served as an official media partner of Regina’s 6th Assumption Outstanding Campus Press Awards, reaffirming its commitment to campus journalism and the next generation of communicators.
As part of its special citations, Punto Central Luzon named Joaquin Jack Pascual III, editor in chief of the LCUP Truth Courier of La Consolacion University Philippines, as its Choice for Best News Writer. Meanwhile, Stephanie Estrella of The Forefront of Gordon College was recognized as Punto’s Choice for Best Editorial Writer.
Both awardees received a ₱5,000 cash prize from Punto Central Luzon in recognition of their exemplary work and dedication to responsible campus journalism.
“We are thankful for the recognition that Punto gave us. It is taxing to be a journalist and being recognized values and defines their work as campus journalists,” said Gian Genesis Zulueta, publication adviser of LCUP Truth Courier, who accepted the award on behalf of Pascual.
Through this partnership, Punto Central Luzon continues to champion campus press freedom, excellence in writing, and the vital role of student journalists in shaping informed communities.
