CABANATUAN CITY – The provincial disaster risk reduction and management office
of Nueva Ecija asked the public to check on their residences and structures for
possible damage brought by a tremor that shook various parts of Luzon
Wednesday morning.
It also advised residents for possible aftershocks.
Gapan City Mayor Joy Pascual ordered the temporary suspension of work at the
city hall to give way for an inspection on the city hall building.
The office works will resume at 1 p.m., she said.
“Paalala mga Batang Gapan wag kalimutan check din ang inyong kapaligiran at
bahay kung meron naging crack o sira dahil sa lindol,” she said.
Vice Mayor Nerivi Santos-Martinez of Talavera, Nueva Ecija, advised their
constituents to report to the local DRRMO any damages due to the earthquake.
No damages have so far been reported in Nueva Ecija.
She urged the public to be calm should there be aftershocks.
“Huwag po tayong mag-panic. Sa kaligtasan ng lahat, maging kalmado sa paglabas
mula sa ating mga opisina o tahanan patungo sa open areas na hindi
nahaharangan ng gusali o puno,” she said.
