“SA ATING pagseserbisyo bilang kawani ng gobyerno, lagi nating i-linya ang ating trabaho sa mga bagay na isinusulong ng Civil Service Commission (CSC). Dapat tayo ay maging ‘Maka-Diyos’, ‘Makatao’, ‘Makabayan’, pati na ang pagiging ‘Makakalikasan’.
This was Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago’s remark to the officials and employees of the Local Government of San Fernando, as the city officially kicks-off its observance of the Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) 2018 on September 3 at the City Hall.
In the past 118 years, through this observance, CSC has been implementing initiatives to mold the capabilities of public servants in the country, being the “premiere human resource institution of the Philippine Government.”
As the city joins CSC in PCSA 2018, it presented lined-up activities including the “ARTA Watch” (Anti Red Tape Act Watch) on the frontline offices of the CSF-LGU, which already run on July 24 and will end on September 19, 2018.
Another activity included in this observance is the first-ever “City Employees’ Outreach Program” which was already launched on September 3, and will benefit street children, mendicants, and orphans in CSF, through a donation of school supplies and hygiene kits.
The “Action Officers of the Day”, which will give chance to all employees to be action officers in a particular amount of time, will meanwhile run on the whole month of September. This aims to enhance the customer service skills of the participants.
The “Mind Matters: A Mental Health Awareness Forum/ Workshop”, aimed to orient the employees about the importance of ‘balanced mental health state”, will also be part of the celebration, happening on September 14.
A film showing and group discussion for CSF-LGU section chiefs will be staged on September 20, which aims to enhance employee productivity, balanced work, and family relations, while, the third run of “Value Alignment Course” will be held on September 18.
Employees who have rendered ten (10) years and succeeding five (5) years of service in the city government will meanwhile be recognized, through the “Loyalty Awards 2018”, happening on September 21.
The “Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence” (PRAISE), an award-giving event which focuses on recognizing outstanding individual and group employees will also be part of the celebration and will transpire on September 24.
On September 26, the “CSC Month Zumba for a Cause” will be held, through the initiative of CSC Regional and Field Offices III and LGUs around Pampanga.
“Pinapasalamatan ko ang City Human Resource Development Office (CHRDO) sa paggawa ng inisyatibo upang masamahan natin ang komisyon sa pagpapalaganap ng serbisyong may pagmamahal sa Diyos, sa bayan, sa kalikasan, at siyempre, sa mga Fernandino,” Santiago highlighted.
