CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The “Rektang Bayanihan Adopt a Family” initiative of the Central Luzon Police Regional Office has been recognized by the national leadership of the Philippine National Police.
At the culmination of the celebration of the 25th Police Community Relations Month recently, Rektang Bayanihan was bestowed the Special Unit Award “for exemplary contribution to the PNP’s Kapwa Ko, Sagot Ko program.
PRO-3 director Brig. Gen. Rhodel Sermonia said Rektang Bayanihan benefited a total of 250,751 families regionwide, most specially indigents and indigenous groups who were severely affected by the implementation of the community quarantine measures.
“As we continue to reach out to our communities, I renew my appeal to all our kind-hearted and well-meaning kababayans to help provide for the less fortunate or most vulnerable sectors in every barangay through Rektang Bayanihan,” Sermonia added. —Carlo Lorenzo J. Datu/PIA–3
