STA. RITA, Pampanga —Second District board member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab distributed goods, vitamins, and financial assistance to vulnerable sectors of the community here who have yet to receive assistance from government amid the ongoing pandemic.

Pineda-Cayabyab made true with her promise to help pregnant women and cancer patients as she visited two distribution centers in Barangays San Jose and Diladila here yesterday. She earlier met with leaders of Nanay Community Workers (NCW) to consolidate lists of people from various sectors needing assistance.

The lady provincial legislator distributed food packs as well as vitamins good for three weeks.  She said that she aims to assure vulnerable sectors that the provincial government is one with them in their needs and concerns.

The distribution was also an opportunity for the board member to meet local residents and listen to their concerns.

“We hope to reach people who have yet to receive anything amid this ongoing pandemic. It is a statement of assurance that their local government is here for them,” Pineda-Cayabyab said.

She is also set to distribute assistance in the coming days to other sectors like persons with disabilities, transport groups and the gay and lesbian communities. Funding for the assistance will be sourced from her personal funds.
