PORAC, Pampanga — The municipal government here is celebrating its 427th  founding anniversary through an art exhibit featuring the works of young Poraqueños.

Dubbed “Experience Bayung Porac,” the art exhibit was launched by Mayor Jaime “Jing” Capil last Oct. 31 at SM City Clark.

The exhibit showcases the rich and astonishing culture of the municipality through visual and installation arts by the Porac Young Artists led by award-winning visual artist Herminigildo Pineda.

“Today is a very significant day to our beloved town as we celebrate its 427th Founding Anniversary. Our municipality was founded on October 31, 1594, named after the Porac River of nearby town Floridablanca,” Mayor Capil shared during his speech.

This, even as he assured Poraqueños that municipal officials “are doing their best to make Porac a progressive town.”

Capil thanked SM City Clark officials for hosting the art exhibit.
