    CITY OF SAN FERNANDO ~ A stunning lady of “beauty and brain” from the municipality of Porac – Jasmin C. Bungay was crowned as 2016 Mutya ning Kapampangan during the coronation night on Saturday at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center, this city.

    Candidates who landed in the Top 5 were Angela D. Aninang of Mabalacat as 1st runner up; Reziah Angelica D. Famorcan of Lubao, 2nd runner up; Joanna Camelle Y. Mercado of Floridablanca, 3rd runner up and Nicole M. Miranda of Magalang as 4th runner up.

    Those who were part of the Top 10 plus one were Camille D. Franco of City of San Fernando, Adrianne Camille Concepcion of Angeles City, Alyssa Mae D. Caladiao of Sasmuan, Kris Dianne D. Cunanan of San Luis and plus one – Mirra T. David of Bacolor, being the texter’s choice.

    Candidates who got special awards were: Reziah Angelica D. Famorcan of Lubao (Miss Photogenic, Ms. Pre~Colonial Costume, Darling of the Press, Best in Swimwear and Ms. SM Choice); Angela D. Aninang of Mabalacat (Ms. Telegenic and Best in Filipiña Gown); Shiara Joy Dizon Macabebe (Ms. Congeniality and Best in Talent); Mirra T. David of Bacolor (Ms. Yuki Skin Care and Smart Texter’s Choice); Nicole M.Miranda of Magalang (Ms. Bela White) Joanna Camelle Y. Mercado of Floridablanca (Montage Choice Award) and Jessa M. Viray of Apalit (Ms. Ysa Skin Care Expert).

    Governor Lilia Pineda expressed her gratitude to the Cabalen for their continuous support in enriching the Kapampangan culture and promoting the natural beauty of the province.

    “Thank you Cabalen for your all out and continuous support for the week~long celebration of Pampanga Day. For me, the candidates from the 21 municipalities are all winners,” Pineda added.

    The other candidates who vied for the coveted title include Ella Shiela V. Villanueva of Arayat, Edrelene Joy D. Zabat of Candaba, Mistica L. Certeza of Guagua, Angelica S. Yamat of Masantol, Diana Carla V. Yumul of Mexico, Justine Lovelle Nazal of Minalin, Eyvonne Joi B. Caballa of Sta. Ana, Maria Genela A. Firmalo of Sta. Rita and Christine Alley S. Gomez of Sto. Tomas.

    This year’s Mutya ning Kapampangan Committee was chaired by Ex-officio Board Member Olga Frances “Fritzy” David~Dizon and vice chaired by 1st District Board Member Cherry Manalo.

    Dizon thanked Governor Pineda, Vice~Governor Dennis Pineda and the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, department heads of the provincial government, candidates and sponsors for the success of the event.
