SAMAL, Bataan — Classrooms of public elementary schools in Bataan to be used as polling precincts for the local and national elections on Monday are ready.
The polling precincts for example at an elementary school in Barangay Santa Lucia here were padlocked Friday and under close watch by personnel of the Samal municipal police station.
The vote counting machines (VCMs) were stored also in a padlocked classroom.
Alice De Guzman, principal of Samal South Elementary School, said that after the testing and sealing of VCMs last May 3, members of the board of election inspectors chaired by a school teacher have already prepared the classrooms.
She said that the testing and sealing of VCMs were successful and ready for Monday voting.
De Guzman said that teachers who will man the polling areas will get the other election paraphernalia at the municipal hall as early as 4 in the morning of Monday for the voting to start at 6 a.m.
“I believe it is all systems go for the May 9, 2022 polls,” the principal said.
