IBA, Zambales – The intensity of thesimultaneous anti-criminality law enforcement operation (SACLEO) of the police in Central Luzon is “reaping record results.”
Provincial and city police directors on Wednesday presented to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano T. De Leon at the Zambales Police Provincial Office firearms of assorted caliber confiscated under the SACLEO campaign.
In their report to De Leon, the heads of police offices in the region said that in only one-month operation, a total of 2,089 individuals including 56 most dangerous fugitives and 735 wanted persons were arrested, 247 assorted firearms as well as other deadly weapons were confiscated, 2,393 sachets of shabu weighing 1,135.35 grams with estimated value of P7,720,348.72 were seized, along with 21 bricks and 121 sachets of marijuana weighing 25,323.69 grams amounting to P3,038,843.29.
Of those arrested, 694 were from Pampanga, 494 from Bulacan, 324 from Tarlac, 187 from Nueva Ecija, 156 from Bataan, 93 from Angeles City, 72 from Olongapo City, 55 from Zambales, and 14 from Aurora.
Anti-illegal gambling operations confiscated a total of P239,805 in cash bets.
It was also noted that “31 former officers and members of the communist terrorist groups have surrendered to PNP and local government authorities in Central Luzon” enabling them to avail themselves of the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program for rebel returnees.
De Leon said SACLEO is “in adherence to the marching order of Chief PNP Gen. Debold M. Sinas to intensify, to reinvigorate and to focus on the anti-criminality drive and anti-insurgency efforts of the PNP.”
