CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Over 1,000 curfew violators were apprehended by the police as it strictly implements the
enhanced community quarantine in Central Luzon.

Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Rhodel Sermonia said violators were taken to the police stations where they were assessed fines as penalty for violating the curfew hours and then were advised to go home.

Different local government units imposed an 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew hours to force the public to stay in their homes to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Sermonia is appealing for public cooperation, encouraging the people to stay home if they have no business going outside.

“We are doing all we can to protect everyone but we also need your cooperation to protect each other to fight the virus,” he said.

ECQ, meant to curb the rising number of cases of Covid-19, is now in effect in the entire Luzon island until April 13.
