ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. on Thursday personally monitored the ongoing vaccination rollout at the City College of Angeles (CCA).
The mayor has also asked for an update from Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center chief Dr. Froilan Canlas on the current status of the city’s vaccination efforts.
To date, 3,833 health workers, senior citizens and persons with comorbidities have been fully vaccinated while 23,478 individuals from the said priority groups already received their first dose of AstraZeneca and Sinovac vaccines. The vaccines being administered are the initial donation of the Department of Health.
Joining the local chief executive during the visit are his chief adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel.
Earlier, Manuel and Calaguas also inspected the said vaccination site at the CCA to oversee the soon-to-be installed generator set that will ensure the continuous rollout of vaccine even in the event of a power outage.
CCA is the sole designated vaccination operation center of the city government, that currently vaccinates the priority groups of health workers, senior citizens and persons with comorbidities or those with existing health conditions.
Lazatin continuously encourages Angeleños to register via the digital vaccination survey — http://hsfcv.angelescity.gov.ph — and participate in the ongoing household survey to identify those with comorbidities and age groups, while waiting for the arrival of vaccines procured by the city government.
