MAGALANG, Pampanga – Unopposed 1st District congressional candidate Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. ordered that his campaign collaterals, including posters and banners, in Mabalacat City and Magalang be taken down on March 26.
Team Lazatin personnel went around various barangays in the district to remove and collect posters from various locations, pursuant to Section 29 of Comelec Resolution 11086, which directs all candidates and parties to remove all prohibited campaign materials no later than 72 hours before the official start of the campaign period.
Earlier, Team Lazatin personnel also cleaned up posters in the 33 barangays of Angeles City.
The official notice from the Comelec, dated March 25, 2025, orders candidates to remove prohibited campaign materials, “regardless of whoever was responsible for posting the same, outside the common poster areas and those which sizes do not conform with the lawful size.”
Once the campaign period officially starts, candidates are only allowed to post their campaign materials in locations designated by the Comelec.
Meanwhile, Lazatin also appealed for a peaceful and honest election.
“Natural po na tumaas ang emosyon ng mga supporters mula sa magkakaibang panig, pero panawagan ko po na panatiliin natin ang kapayapaan at kaayusan sa darating na eleksyon,” Lazatin said. Team Lazatin
