SUBIC FREEPORT — The Philippine Navy, through the Philippine Fleet, is gearing up for the first-ever Drone Warfare Summit to be held at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center from Oct. 27 to 29.
Secretary of National Defense Gilberto C Teodoro Jr. will be the guest of honor and speaker at the opening ceremony, alongside the AFP Chief of Staff, Gen. Romeo S Brawner Jr., the Philippine Navy Flag Officer-In-Command Vice Admiral Jose Ma Ambrosio Q Ezpeleta, and Philippine Fleet Commander, Rear Admiral Joe Anthony C Orbe.
In partnership with Defense Expo Philippines, this summit will welcome a diverse range of participants by exclusive invitation and will feature a high-impact live drone demonstration at Malawaan Park. Both local and international participants, including those from Canada, Turkey, Spain, France, the United States, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Germany, India, Norway, and others, will showcase cutting-edge unmanned systems technology.
Inside the SBECC, attendees will engage with a dynamic lineup of interactive booths, immersive displays, and focused breakout sessions covering critical topics, including drone warfare strategy, policy development, and the seamless integration of unmanned systems into modern military operations.
Also to be featured throughout the summit are airborne drones and advanced counter-drone defense systems, as well as the expanding role of land-based drone technologies in surveillance, logistics, and tactical ground operations, and their growing impact on modern warfare.
Through collaborative engagement among military, industry, and academic stakeholders, the PN Drone Warfare Summit 2025 aims to advance capacity-building efforts and strengthen the Philippines’ role as a future-ready and reliable security partner in the Indo-Pacific region. Press release
