PLDT Home marks Women’s Month with a renewed focus on accelerating AI adoption and strengthening digital infrastructure for Filipina entrepreneurs, recognizing their growing influence in the Philippines’ tech-enabled economy.
What began as small online businesses during the pandemic has transformed into fully digital enterprises powered by fiber connectivity, online marketplaces, automated workflows, and AI-driven content and analytics. With recent Philippine Commission on Women data showing women owning 66 percent of SMEs in the Philippines and leading 62 percent of newly registered businesses, their role in shaping the digital economy has never been more significant.

“Women entrepreneurs today are operating at the forefront of digital transformation,” said Menardo “Butch” Jimenez, Jr., PLDT Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer. “Our goal is to ensure they have the connectivity, tools and AI capabilities that allow them not only to keep up, but to lead. Connectivity is now the backbone of innovation and inclusion.”
Reliable high-speed fiber has become essential for livestream commerce, digital payments, real-time order management, AI-assisted customer support, and cloud-based operations. PLDT Home continues to serve as a critical partner in enabling these technologies, giving women-led businesses the stability and bandwidth needed to compete in a digital-first landscape.
This vision is embodied by the growth of Madiskarte Moms PH (MMPH), a PLDT Home-powered community that has expanded to more than 225,000 members nationwide. Once a small online group, MMPH has evolved into one of the country’s largest digital communities for women entrepreneurs, providing support, collaboration, and access to emerging technologies.
Strengthening Digital Foundations

Building on the success of last year’s Gemini Academy in partnership with Google Philippines, PLDT Home and Google Philippines will relaunch the Gemini Academy for the MMPH community, which will introduce more advanced modules on workflow automation, data-driven decision-making, predictive insights, and responsible AI integration. The program reflects how quickly AI capabilities have progressed and aims to equip Filipina entrepreneurs with the technical confidence to embed AI across daily business operations.
Recognizing Sustainable Leadership

Beyond digital upskilling, PLDT Home also celebrates sustainable, tech-enabled leadership through the 4th Gawad Madiskarte Awards on March 28, 2026. The event will honor women building resilient, innovation-driven enterprises that create jobs, strengthen supply chains, and uplift local communities.
By deepening its commitment to AI education, expanding reliable connectivity, and fostering a community that champions technology-driven entrepreneurship, PLDT Home strengthens its mission of transforming access into opportunity. When women are equipped with the tools of the digital age, they shape stronger businesses, more resilient families, and more connected communities.
This Women’s Month, PLDT Home continues to empower Filipina entrepreneurs to innovate, scale, and lead in an increasingly AI-powered future.
