DINALUPIHAN, Bataan — A tricycle driver died while five of his passengers were injured when a pickup hit the tricycle they were riding while parked on the road shoulder in Barangay Santa Isabel here Sunday morning.
Bataan police director Col. Romell Velasco identified the fatality as Glenn Pillarda, 35, and his injured five passengers, two of them five and nine years old both male; all from Hermosa, Bataan.
They were all rushed to the Jose Payumo Memorial District Hospital in Dinalupihan.
Report showed tricycle was parked at the shoulder of the Olongapo – Gapan Road in Santa Isabel when the pickup travelling towards the Dinalupihan town proper bumped it at the rear portion.
Both vehicles suffered still undetermined damages.
Police said pickup driver Jose Salazar, 66, of Dinalupihan, faces cases for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and multiple physical injuries and damage to property.
