CLARK FREEPORT — The first Wyndham Garden in the Philippines has commenced construction here, further enhancing Clark’s growing renown as a hospitality haven.

Leading the capsule-laying and groundbreaking ceremonies recently at the site along C.M. Recto Highway were CDC president and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera, Microtel by Wyndham general manager Donna Ravina, and Wyndham corporate architect Luis Nacpil.

In her brief remarks, Devanadera noted the project’s potential to elevate the freeport’s status as a preferred tourist destination.

With a committed investment of P979 million, the Wyndham Garden project is expected to generate employment for 209 individuals, thereby contributing to the local economy. Spanning 5,000 sq. meters, the facility will boast a 15-floor structure with 176 suite rooms, lifestyle amenities, and conference spaces tailored for Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibits (MICE) events.

Also present at the ceremony were other CDC officials including Atty. Noelle Mina Meneses, VP for business development and business enhancement group; Jose Miguel de la Rosa, VP for administration and finance; retired police MGen. Lina Sarmiento, VP for security services group; Ma. Zoraida Camello, special assistant to the PCEO; along with Arch. Joseph Zapata from Wyndham.

Reputed as the world’s largest hotel franchising company by the number of properties, Wyndham operates some 9,200 hotels across over 95 countries on six continents. Some of the renowned brands under Wyndham’s 25-hotel portfolio include Microtel, Hawthorn Suites, Baymont, Super 8, Ramada Encore, Travelodge, and Days Inn, among others as published in its website.
