A Celebration of Youth, Sports, and Inclusivity in the Triathlon Capital of the Philippines

Subic Bay, Philippines — On February 15, 2025, Subic Bay, known as the Triathlon Capital of the Philippines, will host the first leg of the Pho3nix Kids Philippines 2025 as part of the inaugural Subic Bay Multisport Festival. With over 300 young athletes set to participate in triathlon, duathlon, aquathlon, and fun run events, this highly anticipated event promises to be an exciting and inclusive weekend for all.

Chris “Macca” McCormack, Pho3nix Foundation Board Member, two-time IRONMAN World Champion, and Chairman of Mana Global, shares his excitement:

“We’re thrilled to bring the Pho3nix Kids Triathlon series to even more young athletes in the Philippines. Having raced here myself, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible passion for sport and the amazing potential in this community. Our goal with Pho3nix Kids Triathlons is to inspire kids of all backgrounds to embrace an active lifestyle, build confidence, and most importantly—have fun! Wishing everyone a fantastic weekend of racing—enjoy every moment!”

In collaboration with the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), Pho3nix Kids Philippines has reached out to kids from Subic Bay and nearby towns like Olongapo, providing them with the opportunity to make their first steps into the world of multisport.

Jumbo Tayag, Race Director at GoClark Sports & Events, highlights the event’s mission of inclusivity:

“Triathlon is often perceived as an expensive sport, but our goal with Pho3nix Kids Philippines is to change that narrative. We want to give kids from all walks of life the chance to experience the excitement and joy of multisport, no matter their background. Events like this are a step toward making the sport more accessible and inclusive for everyone.”

The Pho3nix Kids Philippines 2025 aims to inspire young athletes of all abilities, encouraging them to stay active, build confidence, and develop a lifelong passion for sport. With races specifically designed for various age groups and experience levels, there’s something for every young athlete to enjoy.
