Manila, Philippines – Philippine Airlines (PAL) has forged a new partnership with Alaska Airlines (AS) that enhances travel options for frequent flyers of both the Philippine flag carrier and the Seattle-based U.S. airline.
The PAL-Alaska collaboration will soon allow members of both airlines’ loyalty programs to earn and redeem miles across each other’s networks, providing greater flexibility and rewards for travelers when the tie-up takes effect in the coming months.

As part of the partnership, members of both airlines’ frequent flyer programs – PAL’s Mabuhay Miles and Alaska Airlines’ Mileage Plan – will enjoy more earning and redemption opportunities. Soon, Mabuhay Miles members will be able to earn miles when flying on eligible AS flights, and Mileage Plan members will be able to earn miles on eligible PAL routes.
Philippine Airlines and Alaska Airlines offer easy connections through PAL’s U.S. West Coast gateways – Seattle, Los Angeles and San Francisco– as well as via Honolulu. PAL passengers will gain greater access to a wide range of U.S. destinations that are part of Alaska Airlines’ extensive domestic network.
Building on this momentum, PAL and Alaska Airlines are also exploring opportunities to expand the partnership to include reciprocal codesharing arrangements covering key cities in both airlines’ networks, further enhancing connectivity and offering travelers more convenient options in flying between the Philippines and the United States.
The new frequent flyer collaboration will also enhance the existing partnership between PAL and Hawaiian Airlines, another member of the Alaska Airlines Group. In addition to PAL continuing to offer Hawaiian codeshare flights to Maui, Hilo, Kona and Lihue via Honolulu, Hawaiian Airlines flyers will soon be able to earn and redeem miles on Philippine Airlines when they use their Mileage Plan number.
As the Philippines’ sole full-service air carrier, PAL is keen to build on special partnerships as a key element of its strategy to strengthen the airline’s presence in the U.S. market and provide more seamless travel experiences for its passengers.
