PGT cites outstanding offices, employees in CSC rites

IN CELEBRATION of the 123rd Philippine Civil Service (CSC) anniversary, the Provincial Government of Tarlac (PGT) gave recognition to its outstanding offices and employees and likewise paid tribute to its retirees in a ceremony held at the Bulwagan ng mga Gubernador at the provincial capitol, September 13.

The CSC anniversary themed “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes”, the awarding rites was led by Governor Susan Yap, Vice Governor Carlito David and Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Officer and concurrent Provincial Human Resource Management Officer Marvi dela Cruz who awarded the Kahanga-hangang Gawa (Best Organizational Unit), Pinakamahusay ng Organisasyon, Service Awards, and the Salamat, Mabuhay award for the retirees.

In Gov. Yap’s message, she praised the civil servants of the province and reminded them of their responsibilities to the people.

“We have to give our service to our people with a smile, dapat masaya tayo sa pagse-serbisyo. You are all part of this institution bawat isa sa atin is an extension of the entire institution and be proud that you are a public servant,” she said.

The governor also thanked all the department heads and employees of the provincial government for bringing the capitol to the next level of service to the people.

Awardees

Kahanga-hangang gawa was conferred to rank-and-file employees Reygina Dalindin (PGO-Command Center), Reynaldo Jacobe (PGSO), Lydia Pascua (PDRRMO), Cristilito Navarro (PGSO) and Camille Joyce Buenaventura (PHRMO) for their acts of honesty and performance.

The Provincial Accounting Office was named Best Organizational Unit under the finance category followed by the Provincial Budget Office and the Provincial Assessor’s Office who all received a rating of Very Satisfactory.

Under the Hospital Category, Concepcion District Hospital topped the list followed by the Tarlac Provincial Hospital and the Gilberto O. Teodoro Memorial Hospital. The Provincial Health Office was ranked number one in the Support Service Category while the Provincial Human Resource and Management Office and the Provincial Engineer’s Office were named second and third.

The Provincial Assessor’s Office, Office of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan and the Community-Based Monitoring System were the top three under the Administrative Service Category and under the Social Service Category, the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office topped the category with the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist and the Public Employment Service Office placing second and third respectively.

Employees who have worked and stayed with the PGT for 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years were also recognized.

Likewise cited were the employees who had undergone physical transformation for the past six months by losing weight thus promoting healthy body that can increase productivity and enhance self-esteem.

Retirees

Employees reaching the compulsory retirement age of 65 years and has rendered at least 15 years of satisfactory government service were given a tribute. 

They are Virginia Batara (PENRO-44 years in service), Amelia Pamintuan (PSWDO-42), Anita Canto (Assessor’s Office-47), Rolando Osongco (Treasury-34), Elizalde Valdez (Provincial Jail-25), Martin Dayrit (TPH-30), Oliver Ramos (TPH-17), Maria Diane (TPH-29), Baby Grace Palma (TPH-15), Erlinda Galamay (TPH-37) and Ruben Gandol (TPH-15).

Board Members Joy Gilbert Lamorena, Danilo Asiaten, Harmes Sembrano, Danilo David and Jude Joseph David were likewise in attendance during the ceremony.—Arvin F. M. Cabalu/PIO
