CITY OF SAN FERNANDO— Fresh, bold, and unapologetically flavorful, Peace, Love & Burritos (PLB) has officially landed in Pampanga, introducing Fernandinos to a new take on Mexican-inspired street food straight from Northern California.

Celebrating ten years of handcrafted burritos and a growing fan base abroad, PLB founder Reese Canlas has come full circle. A proud Kapampangan, Canlas returns home to open the first branch of his burrito brand in the Philippines, bringing with him a decade of culinary passion and a global perspective.

PLB’s menu is a celebration of choice and customization. Customers can enjoy the PLB experience with burritos, tacos, or salads, choosing from chicken, carnitas, steak, or vegetables. Each dish is layered with red or white rice, beans, cheese or sour cream, and house-made salsas. Extra meat is also available for those looking to elevate their meal.

Adding a fun twist, PLB introduces a “Bring Your Own Chips” concept. Customers are welcome to bring their preferred snack, and the PLB team will create a personalized loaded dressing or dip to match it. It is a casual, interactive element that reflects the restaurant’s laid-back and inclusive vibe.

Among the top picks on the menu are the OG Chicken Burrito, Twin Taquitos, Cheese Quesadilla, Nachos, Elote, and fully loaded fries. The dining experience is rounded out with a selection of drinks, desserts, and both local and imported beers.

“This is my way of reconnecting with home,” Canlas said.

For him, Pampanga has such a rich food culture, and he wants to be part of that narrative by offering something different but still grounded in the spirit of good food.

The roots of PLB run deep. Both of Canlas’ parents are longtime restauranteurs based abroad, and his love for cooking began in childhood, with fond memories of his mother preparing adobo for their family. His culinary journey has been shaped by global food icons such as Roy Choi, David Chan, and the late Anthony Bourdain, to whom he pays tribute in his restaurant.

Peace, Love & Burritos is now open at the Naver Building in Telabastagan, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. Operating hours are from 12:00 noon to 7:00 in the evening. For those looking to try something new yet familiar, PLB offers a flavorful fusion of cultures served in every bite.
