CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga– Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 3 (PDEA-3) seized some P2.9 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust sting operation Wednesday in Barangay Malhacan in Meycauayan, Bulacan.

A report submitted by the regional office here to PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino identified the suspects as John Paul Palacan, 38, of Lingonan in Valenzuela City, and Marivic Solveto, 38, of Marilao, Bulacan.

The report said the two agreed to meet with PDEA undercover agents at a fast food restaurant in Meycauayan for the drug deal.

The operation yielded one large pack containing suspected shabu, two medium-sized packs also full of the same white crystalline substance with a combined weight of some 500 grams.

The PDEA report said the seized drugs could be worth P2.9 million in the market.

“This high impact operation was the result of a month-long casing and surveillance of PDEA operatives,” the report added.

Palanca and Solveto were temporarily detained at PDEA Jail, Barangay Maimpis in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
