ANGELES CITY – Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the local police swooped down Monday on a drug den in the commercial district of Balibago here and seized P240,000 worth of shabu.
PDEA said the suspected den maintainer identified as Ronald Dungca, 45, as well as other suspects Gerald Tamo, 24; Nelson Acosta Jr., 27; Louie Matiga, 31; and Kiel Patrick Gil Chua, 20, all residents of Barangay Balibago, were arrested in the den at Cordikan Compound, Garcia St.
PDEA regional director Gil Pabilona said all the suspects were in his agency’s target list.
The raid on the den yielded 11 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing more less 30 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P204,000. Assorted drug paraphernalia were also found in the den.
“Dungca and his cohorts are considered high value targets because they are included in PDEA Target-List. We had been monitoring their illegal activities since late August this year, following a report from a concerned citizen that they are running a drug den here in Balibago”, Pabilona said.
The suspects were temporarily detained at PDEA jail facility as charges were filed against them.
