GUAGUA, Pampanga – Dr. Jocelyn Ponio, hospital dentist at the Diosdado Macapagal Memorial Hospital (DMMH), disclosed yesterday that Gov. Eddie Panlilio failed to provide dentist’s supplies at DMMH and nine other public hospitals since January.
Ponio said he had requested the supplies since December last year but “not a single anesthesia or other supplies arrived” despite repeated requests through letters to Panlilio.
“We could not do our job well and the people in general are suffering due to lack of service,” said Ponio.
She added that hospital dentists had no problem with previous governors regarding their supplies.
Panlilio in a text message to Punto said: “I will send your text and check it out with Dr. Romy Lacson of DMMH.”
“We dentists just borrow each other’s materials to deliver service in government hospitals. We have no supplies at DMMH and I can safely say others don’t have as well because they just borrow from me and other dentists,” said Ponio.
Ponio also said that “it’s already the last quarter of the year and we are hoping that they can supply us soon for the benefit of the residents.”
